Will UK lose access to the, potentially, most valuable research data in the 21st century?

Brexit related uncertainty mounts over a range of European databases that store digital information belonging to the UK.

There hasn’t been any official announcement yet, but it’s rumored that the biggest lab in the world – the Large Hadron Collider located on the French and Swiss border – is scheduled to host the final experiment of the project RACOON later this year.

The new technology that Prof. Jack Thorpinski is working on is likely to be extremely valuable and lead to a major breakthrough in the energy and military sectors.

One of the biggest concerns over an unsuccessful Brexit divorce is that the UK could lose access to European databases and, as a result, to this new technology too.

Countries are already fighting over the rights to this data, as due to Brexit, it’s not clear who will be eligible to gain access to the final learnings.

The pressure is likely to grow in the UK to seal the Brexit deal and ensure it can access the new technology that Prof. Ken Thorpinski is developing.
