The base representative confirmed that Professor Thorpinski and his team arrived at the base in El Paso, Texas this afternoon.

The team is here for the final stage of the Gravity Gun project that Prof. Thorpinski has been working on.

The gun is one of the most futuristic weapons the US Army hopes to purchase. The deadline approaches quickly, but Mr Thorpinski and his team aim to finish the work in the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, Killian Rashmoor, the new project leader, confirmed that he is taking the successful and on-time delivery of the project very seriously. As international tension grows, Mr Rashmoor is under mounting pressure. Before taking his post, however, he swore to finish the weapon on time and without any delays.

With a recent incident of a Chinese balloon flying over the US high in the stratosphere, it’s more important than ever to develop new ways of deterrence.

The team has now settled in the camp and will start running the first experiments next week. The initial exercises aim to reproduce the previous results to ensure that the device’s setup is correct. In phase two, Professor Thorpinski plans to crank up the device’s power and take the weapon to the nearby missile range.

The army has already chosen targets that they will use to test the Gravity Gun on. Most objects deemed for destruction are older versions of soviet era tanks, helicopters and other armoured vehicles. Still, the military confirmed that some of the newer pieces of equipment might also be selected for testing.
