What happens to the UK's security and research sectors is still a big unknown.

As The Guardian reported, in a no-deal Brexit scenario, both parties – UK and EU – will suffer a loss of important data as “UK intelligence data ‘would be deleted.’

This may not only cause security systems to malfunction on both sides, but scientific progress to be significantly impaired too.

“The UK would instantly become disconnected from a range of databases”, The Guardian said.

This raises important questions – is the security of the UK at risk? What happens to the scientific progress that the European countries have achieved? Will the UK lose access to cutting edge technologies?
