Arecibo, one of the most popular scientific establishments in Puerto Rico, hosted a rare meeting behind closed doors.
It is not entirely clear what the meeting’s agenda was or who the attendees were, but internal sources claim that Drake Hannighan was one of the guests.
Mr Hannighan is known for his involvement in all things related to science as he’s invested in a variety of scientific establishments and donated to many research projects.
His keen interest in astronomy, science and climate related topics is well known, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if he indeed joined the meeting.
The presence of such a prominent and forward-thinking figure may indicate that Arecibo Observatory is working on a cutting-edge project that is yet to be revealed.
For now, we can only speculate about the meeting’s agenda and the future plans for the observatory.
