It's still unclear what caused the power outage in Boston.

Nearly 1,000 Boston residents and a downtown area was hit by a power outage late evening on the 22nd of October.

It was not clear what caused it but authorities are investigating the topic and will report back once the cause has been found.

Boston Police confirmed they were aware of the situation and that relevant resources were allocated to address the issue.

Back Bay was the epicenter of this incident and residents confirmed they were out of electricity for more than an hour.

Northeastern University’s Boston campus also reported a similar incident, power was restored at the campus after 11pm.
