A meteor was spotted over Devon rushing through the sky, DevonLive reported on the 12th of October.

The fireball was easily seen during the day and was captured by a local resident on the phone.

This isn’t the first time something like that happened – as BBC reported in September 2019, a similar event occurred over Devon and “a land, and air search was launched after a suspected meteor was feared to be an aircraft breaking up in the sky.”

Meteor activity seems to be increasing in recent times, and some scientists are wondering what could be causing it.

There shouldn’t be anything to worry about, as astronomers say such events are relatively frequent.

Hybrid Universe will keep an eye on this unusual activity and will inform about similar events when they occur.
